International Women’s Day is an important moment for companies to reflect on how they support women in the workplace. At BAMKO, our Women’s Day initiatives extend far beyond a single day in March.
Our mission is simple: to amplify women’s voices and contributions in the workplace. This program is designed to build a culture of consistent and intentional support, ensuring that every woman at BAMKO, from our executive leaders to our summer interns, has the resources, mentorship, and community they need to thrive.
The group meets monthly to tackle the topics, from thriving in male-dominated industries to the constant juggle of work-life balance. But more than just a calendar invite, SWAG is built on the idea of community over competition, finding mentorship, and connecting across departments.
It’s our way of ensuring that when one of us succeeds, we all move forward together.
Why Women’s Day Initiatives Matter

International Women’s Day is more than a day of recognition; it’s an opportunity for organizations to reflect on how they support women in the workplace. While many companies celebrate with events or social posts, the most meaningful Women’s Day initiatives create lasting opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and connection.
These initiatives help foster stronger collaboration, elevate diverse perspectives, and ensure women feel supported as they grow in their careers. At their best, Women’s Day programs aren’t just about celebrating progress; they’re about building a culture where that progress continues year-round.

The Pillars of SWAG: Professional Development and Mentorship
The true value of SWAG lies in its consistency. By meeting monthly, we ensure that professional development isn’t just a once-a-year event, but a steady rhythm. At BAMKO, we are in the business of brand experience, and we apply that same expertise to our own culture. We don’t just talk about appreciation; we deliver it.
Beyond the tactical business advice, these meetings serve as a space for discussing the nuanced challenges women face in the corporate world. We move past the surface-level pleasantries to tackle the topics that actually move the needle for our careers and our well-being:

To bring these connections beyond the virtual space, SWAG also incorporates occasional surprise swag drops for our remote team. These thoughtful moments serve as tangible reminders that every member of the community is valued and supported.
Fostering Remote Collaboration: The Impact of an Internal Women’s Network
In a remote work environment, it’s easy to operate in a silo. SWAG acts as a professional bridge, turning isolated roles into an interconnected community. By providing a consistent space for women from different departments to meet, we’ve seen a direct impact on cross-departmental collaboration. When you know the person behind the email, problem-solving becomes faster, more organic, and even fun.
While International Women’s Day is a meaningful moment for reflection, at BAMKO, supporting women is a year-round priority. We believe that a company is only as strong as its community, and by fostering an environment of mutual support and professional excellence, we ensure that we are bringing our best, most empowered selves to every project we touch.
